I have just been nominated to the Board of Directors at Old School Theater! It is a 4 acre facility with a beautiful theater and a performance pavilion and it is one of the Cultural hubs of South Florida so I hope that I will be able to do some good for the musical culture in my community! Especially since I will be heading up the committee for programming and education! On top of that I am on the programming committee for the Milagro center! This is a very special project to me because it is a special aftercare cultural center for children in at risk situations. This means that between Old School Square, and Milagro I have really have my finger on the pulse of my community culture wise! I hope that all of the upcoming generation appreciates how important is to stay active in their commuity as they move along in their careers. It really is the only REAL tactile way to ensure that there are still music jobs for the next generation! (more on that topic in another blog) I am also excited about my upcoming CD and concert tour!
